Arrested Angolan drug mule refused bail

WINDHOEK, 20 FEB (NAMPA) – An alleged Angolan drug mule arrested by members of the Namibian Police Force’s Drug Law Enforcement Unit over the weekend upon arrival at the Hosea Kutako International Airport in the capital, was on Tuesday refused bail.
Kula Lorenco, 52, was refused bail when he made his first appearance in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court along Mungunda Street in Katutura following strong objections by the prosecuting authority.

Fysal Fresh Produce joins AMTA

ONGWEDIVA, 20 FEB (NAMPA) - Fysal Fresh Produce has joined the Agro-Marketing Trade Agency (AMTA) as a wholesale agency under a public private partnership.
This was revealed by Fysal Fresh Produce chairperson, Tomas Iindji, during former president Hifikepunye Pohamba’s visit to AMTA’s fresh produce business hub at Ongwediva on Monday.

NAGN launches Come Together Workshop Series

WINDHOEK, 20 FEB (NAMPA) - Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) Namibia through the First National Bank (FNB) Foundation Trust and the National Arts Gallery of Namibia (NAGN) launched the ‘Come Together Workshop Series’ on Monday. The workshops will provide basic skills training in arts to target groups and serve as a platform for sustainable investment in the arts community.
