AFP presents a reportage of 93 pictures taken by photographer Sameer Al-Doumy between December 19 and 26, 2025 of crew members of the "Ocean Viking" rescue ship, operated by the French NGO SOS Mediterranee, taking part in a team exercise to prepare for a rescue situation in international waters off the coast of Libya, from Augusta, Sicily, southern Italy. Migrants rescue ship "Ocean Viking" is preparing to return to operations following the attack it suffered on August 24, 2025 when Libyan Coast Guard forces fired directly on the rescue vessel operated by the NGO SOS Mediterranee.
