Rosh Pinah-Oranjemund road opens

ROSH PINAH, 21 OCT (NAMPA) – The much-awaited Rosh Pinah-Oranjemund tar road, constructed at a cost of N.dollars 714 million, was officially opened on Friday.
Minister of Works and Transport, Alpheus !Naruseb officiated at the event on behalf of President Hage Geingob.
The opening of the new road signalled the departure of the multi-decade system of travellers submitting to security clearance before entering the Sperrgebiet area leading to diamond mining town, Oranjemund.
