Namibian opposition parties welcome Mugabe resignation

WINDHOEK, 21 NOV (NAMPA) – Namibian opposition party members have welcomed Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe’s resignation on Tuesday, and commended the country for maintaining peace during its military action last week.
Mugabe resigned as the country’s leader on Tuesday, a day after he was expected to step down as president following his removal from the ruling party, Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (Zanu-PF) leadership on Sunday.
