Food poverty rate declines by 3,2 per cent

WINDHOEK, 12 NOV (NAMPA) – Food poverty has declined by 3,2 per cent over the last twelve years according to the latest overview of the Harambee Prosperity Plan (HPP) on poverty.
Speaking at the year-end review media conference here on Wednesday, Economic Adviser in the Office of the Presidency, John Steytler said the food poverty rate has gone down from the 9,0 per cent during the 2003/04 financial year to 5,8 per cent in the 2015/16 financial year.
