Fishing rights applications to open this year: Esau

WALVIS BAY, 17 FEB (NAMPA) – Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources Bernhard Esau has said he will announce the official commencement of the fishing rights application process this year.
Esau made the announcement during his annual state of fisheries address in Walvis Bay on Friday.
He said by 31 December 2017, there 32 fishing rights had expired after being valid for 20 years.
A further 75 fishing rights will expire by 31 December 2018, after being valid for 20 years.
