Guard arrested with half-a-million dollars claims he wanted to buy a house

WINDHOEK, 23 MAR (NAMPA) - A security guard arrested in August last year with over N.dollars 550 000 that belonged to various business outlets in Windhoek, said he stole the money to buy a house for his children.
Jonas Simon Mbangu, 41, said this when he entered his preliminary guilty plea to a charge of theft before Windhoek Magistrate Vanessa Stanley on Friday morning in terms of Section 119 of the Criminal Procedure Act of 1977.
