Extend gender quotas to regional and national councils: Study

WINDHOEK, 14 APR (NAMPA) – There is a need for gender quotas to be extended to regional and national councils, research by the Afrobarometer has revealed.
Its survey report issued Thursday also said more than 70 per cent of respondents are of the view that all political parties should be mandated to ensure 50/50 representation of men and women in the National Assembly (NA).
