Girl drowns in Okavango River

RUNDU, 25 APR (NAMPA) – An 8-year-old girl from the Katondo village in the Kavango East Region drowned in the Okavango River on Tuesday.
She has been identified as Nathalia Kandambo Mbambo, Namibian Police Force crime investigations coordinator in the region, Deputy Commissioner Bob Kanyetu told Nampa on Wednesday.
Her next of kin have been informed.
Kanyetu said Mbambo was swimming with friends when she drowned.
