Mother of 2 granted extension to stay in the US<
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A Rhode Island mother of two who spent a month in immigration detention has been granted an extension to her stay of deportation.
WPRI-TV reports that Immigration and Customs Enforcement granted Lilian Calderon an extension to her stay of removal, which expired May 12.
Calderon can remain in the U.S. until mid-August, which she says gives her time to get her immigration waivers approved.
