Ovambanderu commemoration underway

OKAHANDJA, 16 JUN (NAMPA) – Preparations for the annual 122nd Ovambanderu commemorations of the late Chief Hijakungairi Nguvauva were well underway on Saturday, ahead of the main event scheduled for Sunday at Commando in Okahandja.
The event, to which hundreds of the Ovambanderu people flocked, kicked off on Friday with the arrival of different delegates and commencement of traditional rituals and dances.
