Public hearing on marine phosphate mining on Monday

WINDHOEK, 17 JUN (NAMPA) – A public hearing will be convened at the Ministry of Environment and Tourism on Monday, following the High Court ruling on the environmental clearance certificate case for marine phosphate mining last month.
Judge Shafimana Ueitele ruled in favour of Namibian Marine Phosphate (NMP), which took the MET to court for setting aside the environmental clearance certificate issued to it by the Environmental Commissioner last year.
