PDM wants inquiry into police handling of student protest

WINDHOEK, 10 AUG (NAMPA) – The Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) has called for an independent inquiry into allegations that the police forcefully removed demonstrating students from the government office park in Windhoek on Wednesday.
At a media conference held in Windhoek on Thursday, PDM secretary-general Immanuel Ngaringombe said they will soon write a letter to the Inspector-General of the Namibian Police Force, Lieutenant-General Sebastian Ndeitunga, asking for such an inquiry.
