Germany, Denmark further extend border controls to tackle migration

Luxembourg (dpa) - Germany and Denmark announced Friday that they will extend migration controls at their borders for an additional six months in a bid to tackle migration.
Both countries are within the 26-country Schengen area, one of Europe's most-cherished achievements, allowing people to travel freely without the need for passports or border checks.
