Independence Day celebrations taking place in Windhoek

WINDHOEK, 14 MAR (NAMPA) – This year’s Independence Day celebrations will be held in Windhoek, with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta as guest of honour.
The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology in a statement on Thursday said the celebrations will be held at the Independence Stadium.
“Guests at the event will be treated to various cultural and music performances,” it said.
Last year’s Independence Day celebrations were held at Tsumeb in the Oshikoto Region.
