Warrant of arrest issued against alleged killer cancelled

KEETMANSHOOP, 25 MAR (NAMPA) – A warrant of arrest that was issued against a 29-year-old man accused of allegedly murdering a 39-year-old man here in May last year, was cancelled on Monday.
The warrant of arrest was issued on 14 March this year, by Magistrate Mwilima Mwilima against the accused, Benny Pieters, after he failed to appear in court on that day.
The accused had until 01 April to report to court, after which his bail money will be forfeited to the State.
