Cotton futures close higher

ZHENGZHOU, May 16 (Xinhua) -- Cotton futures closed higher Thursday on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE).
The most active cotton contract for September delivery gained 335 yuan (about 48.77 U.S. dollars) to close at 14,275 yuan per tonne.
On Thursday, the total trading volume for six listed Cotton futures contracts on the ZCE was 922,650 lots, with a turnover of 65.95 billion yuan.
