Guangdong carbon market closes higher

GUANGZHOU, May 16 (Xinhua) -- Carbon emissions allowances closed at 22.42 yuan (3.26 U.S. dollars) per tonne on Thursday, 0.27 percent up from Wednesday, at the China Emissions Exchange (Guangzhou), the largest local carbon market in China.
A total of 160,917 tonnes of allowances were transacted on Thursday, with a turnover of 3.61 million yuan.
