South Africa dominates Rasa awards

WINDHOEK, 26 MAY (NAMPA) – Caster Semenya walked away with two coveted awards at the 2019 African Union Sport Council (AUSC) Region Five Annual Sports Awards (Rasa) held in Windhoek on Saturday.
The South African star athlete was named Sportsperson of the Year as well as Sportswoman of the Year.
Semenya, who is the current champion in the 800 metres (m) and 1 500m after winning last year’s Commonwealth Games at Australia’s Gold Coast, was not present at the event to collect her awards.
