MET records decline in rhino and elephant poaching in 2019

KHORIXAS, 17 JAN (NAMPA) – The Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET) recorded a decline in rhino and elephants poaching incidents last year.
MET Public Relations Officer, Romeo Muyunda, in an interview with Nampa on Wednesday said 45 rhinos and 12 elephants were poached during 2019 countrywide, compared to 57 and 26, respectively, the previous year.
