World Radio Day commemorated in Windhoek

WINDHOEK, 13 FEB (NAMPA) – The ninth edition of World Radio Day was commemorated in the capital on Thursday under the theme ‘Radio and Diversity’.
The day was proclaimed in 2011 by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) and adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012 as the international World Radio Day.
