Government concerned about lack of value addition: Alweendo

WINDHOEK, 25 APR (NAMPA) – Government is concerned about the export of natural resources without value addition, Minister of Mines and Energy Tom Alweendo has said.
“I am fully aware of the industry’s position on this matter that miners are not manufacturers and manufactures are not miners. While this is true, the mining industry still has a big role to play to ensure true manufacturing of intermediary and semi-finished products,” said Alweendo.
