Municipal bus fares increase

WINDHOEK, 11 JUL (NAMPA) – The City of Windhoek on Tuesday announced municipal bus fare hikes of 7 and 8 per cent respectively, effective from 09 July this year.
The smart card fare per trip has increased from N.dollars 6 to N.dollars 6.50, whereas the cash fare per trip increased to N.dollars 7.50 from the previous N.dollars 7 paid by passengers.
A commuter on Tuesday told Nampa they were not happy with the new fees as the fares were already increased by N.dollar 1 last year.
