UPDATE: FIRE BREAKS OUT AT KEETMANSHOOP SPAR

KEETMANSHOOP, 23 SEP (NAMPA) – Keetmanshoop Spar was destroyed whilst firefighters struggled for hours to contain and extinguish a massive fire inside the shop, which started around 10h00 on Sunday morning.
The fire in Mittel Street in the central business district of the southern town, could only be put out by local firefighters and reinforcements around 17h00.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but suspicions are that a gas bottle exploded in a storeroom at the shop, leading to the devastating fire.
