WINDHOEK, 14 FEB (NAMPA) - A police officer allegedly mistakenly shot and killed a child near the Katutura Magistrate’s Court in the early hours of Thursday.
The incident occurred around 03h00.
Responding to questions on Thursday, Namibian Police Force (NamPol) Crime Investigation Coordinator for Khomas, Deputy Commissioner Silvanus Nghishidimbwa said the police officer intended to shoot at dogs but the bullets then instead hit a nearby shack that housed a mother and her two children.
