No bail for soldier accused of killing taxi driver

WINDHOEK, 14 JUN (NAMPA) – A member of the Namibian Defence Force (NDF) who allegedly shot and killed a taxi driver in the Greenwell Matongo informal settlement in Windhoek in the early hours of Thursday, was on Friday refused bail.
Gerson Nakale, 38, was refused bail when he made his first court appearance in the Katutura Magistrate’s Court.
The court refused bail on the basis that the investigations are at a preliminary stage and because they fear the accused might interfere with police investigations.
