ONDANGWA, 23 AUG (NAMPA) – The Ondangwa Airport was on Thursday renamed to the Andimba Toivo ya Toivo Airport in honour of one of Namibia’s gallant heroes and pioneering veterans of the country’s liberation struggle.
Vice-President Nangolo Mbumba, on behalf of President Hage Geingob, officiated at the renaming ceremony which was also attended by Founding President, Sam Nujoma, former President Hifikepunye Pohamba and the late Ya Toivo’s family members.
