Power outage caused by technical fault at NamPower line

WINDHOEK, 20 NOV (NAMPA) - A power outage that affected Windhoek, the coast, and most parts of the northern regions was as a result of a technical fault that occurred on a NamPower current transformer on the Kokerboom-Aries 400 kV line.
NamPower Manager for Corporate Communications and Marketing Tangeni Kambangula in a media statement issued early on Wednesday said the “technical fault” occurred at 23h09 which caused the blackout.
The generation station at Ruacana also experienced a similar fault.
