Swapo's Tebele wins Gobabis Constituency by-election

GOBABIS, 16 JAN (NAMPA) – Swapo Party candidate, Augustinus Tebele, won the Gobabis Constituency by-election held on Wednesday, with 1 409 votes.
Tebele will be councillor for the Gobabis Constituency for the next 10 months before the regional and local authority elections in November this year.
Sylvester Binga of the Landless People’s Movement came in second with 571 votes, followed by Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) candidate, Ellenterium Modise, with 277 votes.
