Postponement of 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games may disadvantage Team Namibia: Smit

WINDHOEK, 02 APR (NAMPA) – The postponement of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games to next year has its ups and downs for Team Namibia, Namibia National Olympic Committee (NNOC) Secretary-General Joan Smit has said.
The games were due to start in July but have been postponed until the summer of 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In an interview with Nampa on Wednesday, Smit said a decision has already been taken that those who qualified for the games, will keep their spots.
