Seventeen arrested for contravening state of emergency regulation in ||Kharas

KEETMANSHOOP, 04 APR (NAMPA) – Namibian Police Force regional commander, Commissioner David Indongo said 17 people were fined so far for contravening regulation 11 of the State of Emergency in the ||Kharas Region.
Regulation 11 states that a person may not sell alcohol during the lockdown period. It says anyone who contravenes this regulation commits an offence and if convicted, is liable to a fine of N.dollars 2 000 or imprisonment not exceeding six months.
