US food assistance enables 4 000 HIV patients to resume treatment across Namibia

GOBABIS, 08 AUG (NAMPA) – The United States food assistance programme has enabled more than 4 000 Namibian HIV patients who stopped taking their antiretroviral medication to resume treatment by providing them with food to aid their treatment.
The programme, which is intended to meet the nutritional gap of food insecure families affected by Namibia’s recent drought, is funded by the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) ...
