Heavy rains damage Windhoek sewerage system

WINDHOEK, 19 JAN (NAMPA) - Recent heavy rains and strong inflow of water in Windhoek's rivers have caused extensive damage to sewerage systems throughout the city.
The city’s communications manager, Harold Akwenye on Tuesday told Nampa Windhoek has an aging sewerage system which is already impacted by residents who deposit wastage in sewerage infrastructure, causing blockages.
