Ndevashiya calls for action against GBV

OPUWO, 21 OCT (NAMPA) - Ohangwena Governor, Walde Ndevashiya, has called for holistic approaches from all stakeholders in the fight against gender-based violence (GBV).
Ndevashiya made the call during the official launch of the GBV Action Plan awareness campaign at Okongo village in the Ohangwena Region on Wednesday, where he noted that official national statistics on GBV reported to the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) have shown an increase in crimes committed against women and children.
