Basic education again gets largest portion of budget

WINDHOEK, 28 MAY (NAMPA) – The Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture received the largest budget allocation in the 2020/21 financial year, of N.dollars 14.2 billion in the National Budget.
The allocation was N.dollars 418 million more than the ministry got in the previous 2019/20 National Budget.
The budget tabled in the National Assembly on Wednesday for the current financial year totals N.dollars 72.8 billion, including N.dollars 8.5 billion which is reserved for Government obligations.
