No international observers for regional and local authority elections

WINDHOEK, 08 JUL (NAMPA) – Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) Chairperson, Notemba Tjipueja said this year’s local authority and regional councillors’ elections will not be observed by international election observers due to travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.
Tjipueja made the announcement on Wednesday at the ECN head office in Windhoek during a consultative workshop with civil society organisations.
