Germany's chocolate prices jump in last year but demand stays high

Dusseldorf (dpa) - Just as the Christmas shopping season shifts into high gear, German consumers are paying a lot more for chocolate than a year ago, an analysis by the price comparison portal Smhaggle for dpa, published on Friday, showed. Chocolate Santa Claus figures are up to 50% more expensive depending on the brand and size, gingerbread hearts, which are covered in chocolate, are now up to 32% pricier, and Dominosteins, another German chocol......
