AlipayHK users to get HKSAR gov't transport subsidies starting 2025

HONG KONG, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- AlipayHK will be incorporated into the Public Transport Fare Subsidy Scheme of Hong Kong with effect from Jan. 1, 2025, allowing citizens an extra electronic payment option besides Octopus. The announcement was made on Thursday by the Transport Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government, assuring that subsidy calculation for AlipayHK users will be the same as those using Octopus.......
