Man arrested for vehicle theft at Mariental

MARIENTAL, 07 APR (NAMPA) – A 26-year-old man was arrested on Monday for the alleged theft of a motor vehicle in Mariental; the result of a police chase that saw the vehicle the accused had allegedly stolen overturning after being shot at by Namibian Police Force (NamPol) officials.

NamPol Acting Crime Investigations Coordinator for the Hardap Region, Chief Inspector Simon Mihunda, said the theft incident happened at about 08h30 at Hofmeyer Street in Mariental.
