Protesters march during a protest denouncing air strikes in areas controlled by the Rwanda-backed M23 militia in Goma on March 12, 2026 a day after a French aid worker for the UN children's agency was killed in an air strike. Humanitarian sources reported that several buildings had been targeted in drone strikes, which UN peacekeeping force MONUSCO said also killed two civilians.
