French gendarmes stop motorists as part of searches for information concerning the vehicle of suspect Jerome B after Lyhanna, an 11-year-old schoolgirl, went missing since May 29, 2026, in Fleurance, southwestern France, on June 5, 2026. France's government was on June 5 assessing possible judicial failings, after allegations investigators could have prevented a 11-year-old girl's disappearance by better dealing with previous sexual abuse complaints.
