(260221) -- HAIKOU, Feb. 21, 2026 (Xinhua) -- A ferry carrying new energy vehicles departs Xiuying Port in Haikou, south China's Hainan Province, Feb. 21, 2026. Connecting south China's island province of Hainan with Guangdong Province on the mainland, the Qiongzhou Strait is bracing for a peak in return trips during this year's Spring Festival travel season. The number of outbound traffic leaving the island is expected to reach its maximum between Feb. 20 and 23.
