Torra Conservancy puts aside N.dollars 130 000 for HWC payments

WINDHOEK, 20 FEB (NAMPA) – The Torra Conservancy in Kunene south has set aside N.dollars 130 000 to compensate farmers who lost livestock due to human-wildlife conflict (HWC) in 2018.
Torra Conservancy chairperson Tommy Adams told Nampa on Tuesday the conservancy paid out N.dollars 50 000 to 15 farmers between January and July 2019. The remaining N.dollars 80 000 will be paid out by the end of March 2020.
