Ex-long jump world champion Manyonga charged for breaking lockdown rules

JOHANNESBURG, May 23 (Xinhua) -- South Africa's former world long jump champion Luvo Manyonga has been charged for breaking COVID-19 lockdown restrictions and public drinking, local media reported on Friday.
According to local police, 29-year-old Manyonga had been "given a Notice to appear in court for Contravening Disaster Management Act regulations" in the town of Stellenbosch on Wednesday.
