Ovambanderu June and August annual commemoration events will be observed by limited persons

GOBABIS, 03 JUN (NAMPA) – The Ovambanderu Traditional Authority (OTA) said, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the commemorations held annually at Okahandja and Okeseta will be celebrated differently this year.
The annual events are usually held on 12 June to commemorate the late Chief Hijakungairi Nguvauva and on 17 August to commemorate the reburial of the remains of Hijatuvao Nguvauva, the son of Kahimemu Nguvauva. The events are attended by a great number of persons from the Ovambanderu community a ...
