Unlicensed driver at Rundu denied bail

RUNDU, 13 JAN (NAMPA) – A 20-year-old unlicensed driver, who allegedly drove over and killed a 92-year-old woman last week while she was trying to cross the Trans-Caprivi Highway at Rundu, was denied bail on Tuesday.
He appeared before acting magistrate, Rufinus Hikerua, while public prosecutor Variety Matamata represented the State.
According to the charge sheet, Russu Victor appeared on charges of culpable homicide for the sudden death of Kalive Leya, a resident of Rundu's Ndama location.
