Shanghai gold futures open lower

SHANGHAI, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures opened lower Wednesday in daytime trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.
The most active gold contract for June 2021 delivery was down 0.68 yuan (about 11 U.S. cents) to open at 379.32 yuan a gram.
China launched gold futures in January 2008.
