Kapako councillor bemoans lack of food for flood victims

SIKONDO, 01 APR (NAMPA) – Councillor of the Kapako Constituency in the Kavango West Region, Johannes Karondo said they are challenged with a lack of food supplies for people relocated to higher ground after their homes were flooded earlier this year.
The Office of the Prime Minister (OPM)’s National Disaster Risk Management Unit, along with the Kavango West Regional Council, erected 27 tents to house the flood victims from 600 homesteads at Sikondo, Mafugu and Nakaza temporarily.
