Fear of COVID-19 to no longer be excuse for jobless Texans to receive benefits

HOUSTON, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Jobless people in U.S. Texas won't be able to receive unemployment benefits if they refuse job offers due to COVID-19 pandemic fear, local media reported Thursday.
According to the Texas Tribune, the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) announced this week that starting June 26, jobless Texans will no longer be given unemployment benefits if they refuse work offers because they feel the job isn't safe during the pandemic.
