EIF mobilises N.dollars 640 million for climate change mitigation

WINDHOEK, 12 OCT (NAMPA) - The Environmental Investment Fund (EIF) has raised more than N.dollars 640 million for climate action grants since its accreditation by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in 2016.
A media statement issued on Monday by the EIF said the fund has been reaccredited to the GCF for a further five-year contract to fund projects and programmes geared towards climate resilience, after its contract lapsed in June 2021.
